You two are probably the only people I have spoken to in about a week.

Last person I tried to talk to called me a monster and chased me with a cane. She called me names.

Oh, a qunari? I have never met one before...well, as much as you can 'meet' somebody by text.

And now we have a qunari, wonderful. At least promise you'll keep the preaching about the qun or whatever you lot follow to a minimum.

Actually worked with one of your kind in the past, got hired by a merchant to look for a caravan that got lost off the wounded coast. Didn't say much, but he was pretty good in a sword fight, damn near cleaved that one bandit in half.

Your lands confuse me with their ways. Merchants are not solely women, warriors are not solely men, and mages are let loose as if they were dathrasi.

It fascinates me, though it also makes me wonder how it is like to be without a singular purpose.

I am fairly new to this concept of freedom, of Tal. It is disconcerting at times.

In Qunlat, Saarebas means "dangerous thing." I was kept in a cage, my lips sewn shut, my horns shorn off, and my face bound in a mask of brass that blinded me. My magic meant I was a constant risk for those that walk the Fade, demons you call them.

I was less than basra, for I faced danger at all times in my very being.

My Arvaarad, "One Who Holds Back Evil", was slain, and the rod that bond my very essence was shattered. I was freed.

Such is my privilege and my curse, for I am no longer of the Qun. I would be slain on sight. I have wandered ever since.

Freedom is strange. I am not sure if I like it.

Freedom isn't exactly perfect, especially if you're having trouble getting enough bits to feed yourself. But at least your life's your own, and no one else's. Though something tells me that's now how the qunari view it.

Well, this is an interesting thing, having words appear before my eyes in a ledger. If I didn't know any better, I'd say I was Lyrium drunk, but my next dose isn't for another three days.

But I do not think I am a threat. I am simply one who was born with a curse I did not want, and for that I am an animal in the eyes of the Qun.

And yet, I know nothing else but the Qun. But I cannot accept that which wants me dead; I am faulty by the standards of the Qun.

A Qunari would accept their death. I cannot.

I am Tal-Vashoth. It is the only way I am able to live.

Hmm. Something for me to contemplate would be how I should spend my newfound liberation.

I must admit I do not know... what to do with it. Nor do I know anyone else.

To the qunari, well, you're a mage, I imagine there will be people willing to hire you for your talents. Best way of me saying "put your skill to good use" or at least enough to buy a meal for a day.

I am not sure if I should further test my fortune.

You seem to know what you are doing, though. I would like to see how bas saarebas handle their magic.

Eh, might want to ask the templar or one of the mages here about that last part. All I really know is that the Circle tries to keep the mages out of wars between nations or something to that effect.
